fiesta key resort KOA Campground From: The Insiders Guide "Fiesta Key Resort KOA Kampground Surrounded by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, which we call bayside here in the Florida Keys, Fiesta Key KOA Campground enjoys a tropical milieu and the famed Keys sunsets. Hot-pink oleander hedges lead to the 35-site tent village, and more than 300 campsites welcome RVs. Most of the sites are shaded with large palms or leafy trees and sport a cement patio (pull-throughs, 16 feet by 52 feet; back-ins, 24 feet by 40 feet). Full and shared hookups are available, although no tents are permitted on full hookup sites at any time. Slide-outs may be used only at a select number of designated sites. Fiesta Key really does resemble a resort: Diversions are endless. A waterfront pub offers libations and relaxed dining. You will enjoy the Olympic-size heated freshwater swimming pool and two hot tubs. The children probably will prefer to camp out in the game room or on the playground or the basketball court. On-premises rentals expand your horizons beyond the campground. Pontoon boats, runabouts and center consoles take you over the calm Gulf waters. Fishing rods stand ready should you care to try your luck with a lure. A full marina provides a boat ramp and slips if you want to bring your own craft. And you can get into shape with a hydro-bike, a single bike or a three-wheeler if you tire of lounging aside the sandy beach area. A propane station, a dumping station, a grocery store, public telephones and 24-hour on-site management and security simplify your stay. Twenty motel rooms on the premises offer an alternative to camping. You must vacate the property by noon of your check-out day. Late check-out requires prior arrangements. Rates are quoted for two people; children younger than 6 stay free. Additional people incur an extra fee ($8 for adults; $6, children). A maximum of six people may occupy a single campsite at any time. Monthly rates are available."
