Dax out on the trail the same day. Note the lateral action on those hind legs. He's already doing leg yielding and turns on the forehand like a champ - ready for dressage training.
This photo would be really impressive if Dax was actually round or even going forward. But actually he is backing up rapidly, trying to avoid the camera. One of his "spooking" tricks. Note also the major tail swish.
A head-on shot of Dax. Note the intelligent look in his eye and how darned happy we both look. Also note my hard hat and Stubben Siegfried saddle which I have had since I was 12 years old - yikes!!
