noble march 2000 Subject: Re: Noble visit Date: Sun, 2 Apr 2000 23:40:40 EDT From: RedRockr1@aol.com To: webmistress@udonet.com Hi Laura, ... Noble is doing good :) That would be great for you to come see him. Stupid me...i work in Chicago, take 2 classes in Sugar Grove, and make websites and rope halters on the side! I've been incredibly busy since January, if you can wait about 1 month that's when my classes end. It's a good thing Gerry takes such wonderful care of the horses when I'm not there since I've seen them only twice a week ever since I started my classes. There's no way I'm going to take any more classes once these 2 end (I'm taking java and javascript)!!! I miss being out there more often...i'm sure noble misses it too, since he's the kind of pony that needs to be worked with every day. Noble's been a little hyper lately since I had him on stall board for the winter, and they ended up feeding him a little grain each day so that he'd enjoy being in the stall at nite, so I can't wait to get him back out on pasture board for the summer. He's progressing pretty well with the things he's scared of. He's good for the vet and farrier now even when I'm not there. And, just today I was hoola hooping with him standing next to me. We have just started lessons with a Parelli instructor who just moved to our barn, she is absolutely wonderful. The Parelli stuff really enhances everything I know about the John Lyons methods. He took to it very well, and within 2 weeks we were walking over tarps, around barrels, over hoola hoops and plastic bags, and even riding. Hopefully within the next 2 years, I'll be able to take Noble and Dynamo with me to Colorado for a few weeks at a time, where I will train with either Pat Parelli or John Lyons for certification. (but that's expensive...so it'll be a year or two before I've got my $$$ all saved up for it)! I'll let you know in the next 2-3 weeks when would be a good time, since the time I currently spend out there twice a week I'm running around working with 4-6 horses in 2-3 hours...eekk. In case you haven't seen our personal website (its been under construction for awhile...since I've been pretty busy) but go ahead and take a look...I'm hoping to get a few more pics of him on there this summer doing parelli stuff. http://www.equusite.com/family/ I will write back in a couple weeks when it's closer to finals and let you know when I'll have time to leisurely hang out at the farm. It was good hearing from you! |
