preparing for the arrival of baby ziggy |
september 2000we have picked out the nursery set and started getting the new baby's room situated. we selected "nursery nights" by judi's originals. of course, no sooner had we purchased the bedding that the entire set was discontinued and we had to call all over the u.s. to find the mobile, the moon wallhanging, and the wallpaper borders to match. per michael, if it didn't all match, it was going back and we would have to re-select a nursery set. so, after a few phone calls to indiana, los angeles and michigan, we had everything at the house via ups ground. after finishing the painting and removing of all hardware for refinishing, michael has been very busy hanging glow-in-the-dark moon, stars and saturns on the ceiling in the baby's room and upstairs in the girls' new room. I found a white cloud shelf with stars and moon at the local target while on a shopping spree after riding a couple of nights ago. michael and I went back last night and found a tap light in the shape of a moon perfect for right over the new changing table/dresser that michael's parents thoughtfully purchased for us two weeks ago. the girl's old crib is set up, with a new mattress (also a gift from michael's parents) and it looks like my old rocking chair is going to make its way back into the house. all we need now is an area rug for the wood floor and some shelves put up, and we are done. | |||
